Ururangi Mahi
Here is my mahi on Ururangi. This is the Matariki star that relates to the wind. I really enjoyed tracing the Ururangi. I am proud that I finished it by myself.
Tupuārangi Star
For our Tupuārangi week we have been learning about the Kūkupa. This is a special bird to our school. The Kūkupa used to be a harvested bird but now we want to protect them. It is illegal to hunt them now. Here is my reading follow-up about the Kūkupa.

been learning about the star Tupuārangi. Tupuārangi is the star connected to the collection of birds and other elevated food products like fruit and berries from the trees. We drew fruit outlines with pencil and then used pastels to shade in our outlines. We had to be careful we chose colours that would blend well together and that represented the fruit we choose.
